If you have a large catalog, adding products one by one isn't practical. Nexus lets you import all your products at once using a CSV file. Your products sync to Shopify automatically once the import is done.
Use this guide whenever you want to add new products to Nexus in bulk.
💡 Tip
Download the Nexus sample CSV before you start. It shows the exact format your file needs to follow. Importing a file with the wrong structure will cause errors. (Link: How to prepare your product import CSV)
Step 1: Go to the Products
Click Products in the left sidebar from your Nexus dashboard.
Step 2: Click on Import products
Click the Import button at the top of the Products page. This opens the import modal.
Step 3: Upload your CSV file
Drag and drop your CSV file into the upload area, or click to browse and select it from your device.
Step 4: Choose how to handle existing products
You'll see an option to match products by their URL handle.
When you check this option, all products in the CSV will be imported as new products, regardless of whether they already exist.
When you uncheck it, Nexus will update any existing products whose handles match what's in your CSV. Whose handle don't match, will be added as new products.
📌 Note
If you're importing products for the first time, leave this checked. All products will be added as new.
Step 5: Start the import
Click Finish upload to start the sync. Nexus will begin importing your products right away.
Step 6: Review your imported products
Once the import is complete, click Review products. You'll see all the products that were added. Check that your product names, variants, and prices look correct. These products are now synced to your Shopify store.
⚠️ If your import fails
In case your import fails, don't worry. You can download the CSV attached in the same sync bar. Download and begin your review.
It includes an Import Status column that shows which products failed and why. Fix the flagged rows and re-import. If you're unsure what went wrong, compare your file against the sample CSV.
