How to set commission details for a seller on Nexus

Set commission type, value, payout interval, and custom rules for each seller on Nexus.

Each seller on your marketplace can have a different commission setup. You control the commission type, value, and how often their payouts are generated. You can also add custom rules to handle exceptions for specific products or order types.

Use this guide whenever you need to update commission details for any seller.

📌 Note for sellers

Commission details are set by your brand owner. If you'd like to request a change to your commission structure, reach out to them directly.

Step 1: Go to the seller's Commission tab

Click Sellers in the left sidebar. Open any seller's profile. Then click the Commission tab.

Understand Commission Update Permissions

Step 2: Review and update the commission structure

Here you'll see the commission currently set for this seller.

You can choose between two types:

  1. Percentage
A portion of the sale amount is charged as commission

  2. Flat
A fixed amount is charged per order

Update the type and enter the new value.

Add Conditional Commission Rules

Step 3: Add custom commission rules

Want to charge a different rate for specific products? You can add conditional rules here.

Click Add rule. You can filter by:

  • Order price

  • Product tag

  • Product type

For example, to charge only 1% on a specific product type, set the filter to that product type and enter 1 as the value.

Step 4: Update the payout interval

Payout interval controls how often a payout cycle is generated for any seller.

By default it's set to 15 days. Enter any number to change it. For example, enter 7 for weekly or 30 for monthly.

Step 5: Save your changes

Click Global save. All commission details will be updated immediately.

📌 What happens after you save

  • Your updated commission values will start reflecting from the next order.

  • The new payout cycle will only start after the current cycle is complete. You cannot manually close a cycle.

Your commission setup is now complete. Head to Payouts to track how these changes reflect in your next cycle.
